We're back.
The Drug Is Football has been off and on for the past few years, but we are back.
When I first started TDIF as a blog back in 2010 the intent had been to be about soccer, music and style. Eventually the site morphed into an opinion/news site following the New England Revolution. In that time we broke or helped break a few major stories including Fortgate and engineering drawings related to an article in the Boston Globe about a Revolution stadium in South Boston/South End. We've had our share of flop stories as well.
Life got in the way between persuing new employment and education oportunities, getting married etc. We have released to print editions and will eventually produce more on a twice a year basis. I am excited to have Mike Hammecker, who did our print cover artwork, step into a larger role. Richard McLaws and Rob Ames who have been with us since the begining are still here as well. We are already adding new contributors.
We are adjusting our direction as well. While we are mostly Boston based and have been a New England Revolution centric site we will be focusing on American soccer as a whole. We are looking for contributors from other MLS and NASL markets. Our focus will rwturn to the initial idea for TDIF... music, style, art, and bringing our subculture backgrounds into the fold.
Thanks to everyone who has supported and followed us over the years, we're looking forward to making TDIF the best it been yet for you.
